On August 11th, 2021, a new crazy Marvel series starts, which brings us closer to selected “what if” scenarios from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here Peggy Carter benefits from the super-soldier serum. Captain America becomes a zombie, and T’Challa becomes the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
If you can’t get enough of such stories, you have reason to be happy. “Marvel’s What If …?” is going into overtime. There is great confidence in the series because work on season 2 began long before the series started.
T’Challa Becomes Star-Lord, And The Avengers Die
The two other well-known episodes are brutal too: T’Challa becomes Star-Lord instead of Black Panther in episode 2, while in episode 3, an unknown person targets the Avengers. The trailer, the poster and some leaks have already revealed other crazy scenarios: Look forward to Marvel zombies, Ultron in Vision’s body, Eric Killmonger as Tony Stark’s saviour, Iron Man as a gladiator and more.
Season 1 comes with ten episodes, which you can expect from now on every Wednesday at Disney +. Reports beyond that are also provided. Season 2 of “Marvel’s What If …?” Is already on the way.
“What If…?” Season 2: When And How Does It Go On?
As if the multiverse weren’t enough, the animated series “What If …?” Also shows us alternative scenarios and turning points in the MCU. Just like Season 1, Season 2 will have ten new, self-contained episodes that will turn what has happened so far on its head. However, there are no specific indications as to which characters might slip into a new role or take a different path.
Since the production or animation of the individual episodes is quite complex and time-consuming, we will have to wait a little longer until we can stream the new episodes on Disney +. But since season 2 is already being worked on, it could continue in late 2021 or early 2022. As soon as an exact start date is known, we will submit this information here.
Who’s In The Cast?
The animated series remains true to itself, and Jeffrey Wright will again lead the episodes as The Watcher. We assume that numerous other MCU stars will also be available for the second season and lend their voices to the corresponding characters. So next to Chris Hemsworth, we will likely hear Hollywood greats like Samuel L. Jackson, Natalie Portman and Zoe Saldana.
