Bob Odenkirk finally spoke for the first time about his recovery after he collapsed during the filming of the series “Better Call Saul,” which caused alarm to his fans and the media. The “Breaking Bad” actor said he feels fine after suffering a minor heart attack on the set of his AMC show several days ago.
“I’m doing great,” he tweeted on Friday night. The star is still under the care of the doctors who attended him.
“I had my own “It’s A Wonderful Life” week, where people insist that I make the world a little better place.”
This is what Bob Odenkirk affirmed when referring to the Frank Capra classic in which George Bailey glimpses what the world would be like if he had never been born. “Wow! Thanks, I love everyone right now, but let’s keep expectations reasonable!”
The 58-year-old entertainer was rushed to the hospital on July 27 after collapsing on the set of the Emmy Award-winning show. Odenkirk was on set in New Mexico City when the incident occurred.
Odenkirk confirmed that he had suffered a minor heart attack a few days later but assured fans that he was fine. “Thank you to my family and friends who have surrounded me this week,” he wrote on Twitter. “And for the outpouring of love from all who expressed concern and care for me. It is overwhelming, but I feel the love and it means a lot.”
The Support Of The Famous
When the news of Bob Odenkirk’s hospital broke, his friends took to social media to send their good wishes and support.
“I’ll share what I know when I can, but Bob is one of the strongest people I know both physically and spiritually. He’ll get over this,” wrote comedian David Cross.
His former “Breaking Bad” co-star Bryan Cranston asked fans, “Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers your way, thank you.”
