Ryan John Seacrest is an American TV host and producer who was born on December 24, 1974. He co-hosts Live with Kelly and Ryan and is the host of American Idol, American Top 40, and On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, among other shows.
In 2006, Seacrest joined Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve as a co-host and producer. After Dick Clark died in 2012, he continued to host and run the show that was broadcast every year from Times Square in New York City.
Seacrest became a permanent co-host of Live with Kelly and Ryan on May 1, 2017. From 2004 to 2013 and again in 2016, Seacrest was nominated for an Emmy Award for American Idol.
In 2010, he won an Emmy for making Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, and in 2012, he was nominated again. In 2018, Seacrest was nominated for Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment for Live with Kelly and Ryan and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
Early life and education
Ryan Seacrest was born on December 24, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the son of Constance Marie (nee Zullinger), a homemaker, and Gary Lee Seacrest, a real estate lawyer. Henry Gene Skeen, his grandfather, was a major general in the U.S. Army.

His father was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. His mother told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “Ryan would always have a little microphone and put on shows in the house instead of playing with G.I. Joes or Cowboys and Indians.“
He went to Dunwoody High School when he was 14 years old. Seacrest won an internship at 94.1 WSTR in Atlanta when he was 16 and still in high school. He was still in school at the time, so Tom Sullivan taught him all about radio.
When one of the DJs Sullivan usually worked with called in sick, Sullivan put him on the air for the first time. At WSTR, Seacrest was given the overnight shift on the weekends. Seacrest stayed on the air at WSTR until 1992, when he graduated from Dunwoody High.
In the fall of 1992, Seacrest went to the University of Georgia to study journalism. He kept going with his radio show at a station in Athens. Seacrest quit college when he was 19 and moved to Hollywood to start a career in broadcasting.
In May 2016, the University of Georgia gave Seacrest an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree, and he gave the commencement speech at the graduation.

Kelly Ripa has given her approval to Ryan Seacrest’s new relationship with his girlfriend Aubrey Paige. On Monday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, the two co-hosts talked about how Ripa met Seacret’s girlfriend for the first time on Friday at her husband Mark Consuelos’ birthday party.
Ripa, who is 51, said that Paige, who is 23, was “the most interesting guest who came.” “Kelly said, ‘We’re all glad you’re here and that you exist because we weren’t sure there was anyone.’
“As Ripa replied, “We were starting to think, ‘Maybe he doesn’t have a special person, and maybe we should check in on him more often,'” Seacrest, who is 47 years old, recalled. Then, Ripa joked that she would “go into seclusion” if the host of American Idol broke up with his model girlfriend.
He replied, “That’s exactly what she told her.” “I told him, ‘That’s a nice thing to say.” “I love her so much,” Ripa said. Ripa said that Consuelos, who is 51, “wants to know the aerodynamics” of how Seacrest’s relationship with Paige works since Paige is taller than him.
“Mark took me aside at the start of the evening. He said, ‘Can I ask you a question? … She is quite tall. She is taller than you, and wearing heels makes her even taller. What’s the deal?'” Seacrest thought back. “I was like, ‘What are you asking me?’
Seacrest kept going, “He looked like he was about to die. He says, “Because Kelly and I always talk about that. How high.’ … He was really lost. He asked, “Who’s arm goes where when you walk together?”
Ripa then made a joke about their different arm lengths by saying that Consuelos is “one to talk with those arms of his.” She made a joke: “He just realised there’s a whole world out there he’s never seen.”
In May 2021, when they were seen going to the Hamptons together, Seacrest and Paige were said to be dating for the first time. They have kept their relationship a secret, only going out together on rare occasions. A picture of the couple was taken recently as they walked his dog in New York City.
Before hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest in December 2021, Seacrest hinted that he might share a midnight kiss with someone special.
He told USA Today at the time, “Guess we’ll have to stay tuned to find out who I kiss on New Year’s Eve.”Shayna Taylor, who is a chef, was Seacrest’s last girlfriend. In the summer of 2020, they break up.

Ryan dated actress and model Shana Wall from 2003 to 2005. At the 2005 Primetime Emmy Awards, they looked very happy together.
In 2016, they were seen out together arm-in-arm, which led to rumours that they were getting back together. But not long after that, Ryan and Shayna got back together.

In June 2015, Ryan was linked to Hilary Cruz, who had been Miss Teen USA. They met at Ryan’s 40th birthday party and became friends.
