Is Ms Office Online Down?

Microsoft makes Office 365, which is a set of online tools for getting work done. Office 365 has versions of Microsoft Office, Skype, and OneDrive that can be used online or offline, as well as online versions of Sharepoint, Exchange, and Project.

The graph below shows, by the time of day, how many Office 365 reports were sent in the last 24 hours. An outage is found when the number of reports goes over the baseline, which is shown by the red line.

Many MS Teams users couldn’t join the calls or send messages, so they went to Twitter to talk about it.

A few minutes ago Microsoft 365 tweeted about the problem and write on its post: “We’ve rolled back a network change that we believe is causing impact. We’re monitoring the service as the rollback takes effect.”

Starting at 7:05 UTC on January 25, 2023, customers may have trouble connecting to networks, which could show up as network latency or timeouts when trying to connect to Azure resources in Public Azure regions or other Microsoft services like M365 and PowerBI.

We’ve found that the problem with network connectivity affects devices all over the Microsoft Wide Area Network (WAN).

This affects how clients on the internet connect to Azure, as well as how services in data centers connect to each other and how ExpressRoute connections work.

The problem is having an effect in waves that peak every 30 minutes or so. We think that a recent update to our WAN is to blame, so we’ve taken steps to roll back this update.

Our most recent telemetry data shows that there are signs of recovery in a number of regions and services, and we are still keeping a close eye on the situation.
