Xbox Game Pass: Is it still relevant in 2021?

Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass keeps going. In the past year, Xbox Game Pass has added various EA games to the service. It also hosts an abundance of third-party games, ranging from the smallest experimental indie games to the huge ones like AAA blockbusters. Microsoft has added the ability to stream Xbox Game Pass games from the cloud to your Android device.

As we look forward to 2021 and beyond, we have reviewed the service of the past few years and re-examined its current form.

Here are our thoughts and analysis of whether buying Xbox is worth your greens (TLDR; it is).

Five reasons why it is still worth the money!

  1. Benefits

In addition to downloading and playing games, Game Pass also offers other functions. One of these functions is called wellness. From time to time, Game Pass will provide you with free gifts. It can be the free play currency for games like “Sea of Thieves”, or it can be free skins for games like “Gears of War 5” and “Scourge of God”.

The reward can also be the one that has nothing to do with the game. In the past, Game Pass offered free trials for other subscription services. Like they provide a 2 month free trial period for the Funimation animation streaming service. Or when they offer a 30-day free trial to Disney Plus. Perks isn’t a great Game Pass subscription selling feature, but when you see a good one waiting to be claimed, the surprise is always happy.

  1.  Discount

If you like to save money, you will like the following function. As a Game Pass subscriber, you can get discounts in the Microsoft Store. They offer discounts for DLC expansion packs like “Outer World” and DLC characters in games like “Tekken”.

Currently discounted games include “Control: Ultimate Edition”, “UFC 4: Deluxe Edition” and “Star Wars: Fallen Jedi.” Some discounts are small, such as US$5 or US$7, while others may be as high as half the price. Either way, we believe that everyone can enjoy a little discount on their next purchase.

  1. Cross-platform accessibility

But what if you prefer to play games on PC instead of Xbox? Don’t worry, Game Pass also allows you to play its catalog on your PC. If you are not at home but want to continue playing, you can even play on your phone. Currently, only Android users can play games on their phones, but Apple users don’t have to wait too long.

With the advancement of mobile phone technology, it is great to see that they can run our favorite games. We are not saying that it will work perfectly, and just like you are playing on a computer or console. However, it’s great to see us have the opportunity to play Gears of War 5 while waiting in the dentist’s office.

  1. EA Play

EA Play is the most recent but outstanding new addition to Game Pass. This is EA’s own game subscription service and is now included in your Game Pass subscription. Some of the games included in EA Play include NHL 21, Madden NFL 21, FIFA 20 and NBA Live 19.

If sports games are not your favorite style, there are many other types to choose from. If you want to relax, check out games like Peggle or The Sims. If you want to get into the action, the Titanfall and Battlefield series are also available.

  1. Game Pass Catalog

The main reason for subscribing to Game Pass is to play their games, which should not surprise us. They often rotate the games they offer, but it seems like they always have some games that are worth it. Fight criminals in Gotham like Batman, explore islands and seas in Sea of Thieves, and defeat lobsters in the Gears of War series.

New games are being added all the time, including new games on the first day of release. A recent example is “The Outsider” and Major League Baseball The Show 21. “Halo: Infinite” has promised to be available as soon as the game pass is released. It has also been confirmed that games like “Hello Neighbor 2”, “Narita Boy” and “Dead Static Drive” will be released when Game Pass is released.

So is it worth it?

Game Pass has many benefits, but if you need a clear reason to get it, it is: it has many games to choose from. Some of our favorite games that we played during the quarantine period were found on Game Pass. “Hollow Knight”, “Outer World” and “Outer Wilderness” are good games that you won’t regret playing. We are certainly not telling you that every single game on Xbox pass is worth it but for this price? You cannot ask for better!
