Valerie Bertinelli Appears to Be Reacting to Matthew Perry’s Make-out Story by Singing a Taylor Swift Song: ‘I’m the Problem’!

In his memoir, Matthew Perry admits to kissing Valerie Bertinelli while the late Eddie Van Halen was ‘passed out’ drunk.

Valerie Bertinelli appears to be responding to Matthew Perry’s recent admission that the two had a “make-out session” while she was still married to Eddie Van Halen.

Bertinelli posted a video to TikTok on Wednesday, smiling and waving as Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” played in the background.

“Hello, this is me. It is I who am the source of the problem “Swift performs in the newly released song.

Bertinelli captioned the video as follows: “Anyone else misbehaves in their twenties and early thirties? Are you embarrassed?”

Bertinelli, 62, was seen leaving a friend’s house on Thursday after appearing to respond to Perry’s confession. The actress wore a graphic T-shirt with black pants and running shoes, and she carried a small black purse.

Perry revealed that he and his “Sydney” co-star had a “long, elaborate make-out session” while her husband, Eddie Van Halen, was “passed out” next to them in his upcoming memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.”

“I fell madly in love with Valerie Bertinelli, who was clearly in a troubled marriage. My crush was crushing because she was not the only way out of my league, but she was also married to one of the world’s most famous rock stars, Eddie Van Halen “Page Six obtained excerpts of Perry’s writing.

Perry went on to explain how he took advantage of an opportunity to make a move on Bertinelli after her husband, Eddie Van Halen, “passed out.”

“It was clear that Eddie had enjoyed the fruits of the vine a little too hard, one more time,” he reportedly wrote, “and eventually he just passed out, not ten feet away from us.”

Perry saw this as the ideal time to express his feelings for Bertinelli, writing, “This was my opportunity! You’d be wrong, dear reader, if you thought I didn’t have a chance in hell. Valerie and I had an extensive make-out session. It was happening; perhaps she was feeling the same way I was.”

Perry claims that at that moment, he told Bertinelli that he “had thought about doing that for a long time, and she had said it right back.”

The next day at work, however, everything was back to normal, and Bertinelli crushed Perry by acting as if nothing had happened. Perry was relieved when the short-lived show was canceled because she no longer had to see Bertinelli.

In 2001, Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen divorced. They have a son together, Wolf Van Halen.

After a battle with cancer, the legendary musician died in October 2020 at the age of 65.

Perry mentions several celebrities by name in his memoir, including a group date he had with Cameron Diaz. Diaz “accidentally” punched him in the face during their evening together, according to the “Friends” star.

Perry also stated that he had to leave Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep’s “Don’t Look Up” due to a medical scare that “stopped” his heart for five minutes.

Over the last few weeks, the actor has been promoting his upcoming book. He revealed to the New York Times on Sunday that he spent $9 million trying to get sober. Perry’s first memoir detailed his decades-long battle with alcohol and drugs.

“Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing” will be released on November 1st.
