Defensive Lineman and Super Bowl Champion Tony Siragusa Passed Away at the Age of 55!

Anthony Siragusa Sr. (nicknamed “the Goose”; born May 14, 1967, died June 22, 2022) was an American professional football player who played defensive tackle for 12 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL).

After retiring from football, he spent the years 2003-2015 working as a sideline analyst for Fox Network broadcasts of National Football League games. He has also hosted a number of TV programs, including Man Caves, a DIY Network series about men’s man caves.

On Wednesday, a former teammate confirmed the death of Tony Siragusa, a defensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens who helped the team win the Super Bowl in 2000.

Jamal Lewis, a former running back for the Baltimore Ravens, spoke to TMZ Sports about the passing of former teammate Steve Siragusa.

“I must say, it’s a sad day to be a Raven,” Lewis said.

Undrafted in 1990, Siragusa signed with the Colts. The New Jersey native played for the Colts for seven years, primarily as a defensive tackle and nose tackle. From 1990 to 1996, he appeared in 96 games for the team, tallying 16.5 sacks in that time.

Beginning his career with the Ravens in 1997, he remained with the team until 2001. He helped win Super Bowl XXXV against the New York Giants with a team that included Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis, Rod Woodson, and Jamie Sharper.

At 11:45 a.m., according to the Toms River Police Department, officers were sent to a home on the barrier island in the beach district after receiving a call reporting “CPR in progress.”

According to the police, Siragusa was pronounced dead shortly after officers and paramedics arrived. Age-wise, he was 55.
