There Has Been No Credible Confirmation of Carrey’s Death
The actor was a special guest on the September 2017 episode of the TIFF Originals podcast on YouTube.
Jim Carrey(Twitter) had already addressed the media about his mental health struggles.
In the course of their talk, Jim Carrey disclosed that he had created his entire persona in order to put people at ease by pointing out that he has played many other roles. I was making a joke for people,” he said, “but it turned out to be a character.” My character was carefree because I wanted the others who saw me to feel the same way.
To @deekaymotion, the lucky winner, my sincere gratitude. Good fortune and happiness are my wishes for you. Congratulations, too, on your lovely writing.
The difference between depression and sadness, in his opinion, was also addressed. According to him, depression is the body’s way of saying it no longer wants to be the character you’ve built, while sadness is the body’s way of saying it no longer wants to be the persona you’ve constructed.

Jim Carrey Buys the NFT
As the latest high-profile victim of the non-fungible token obsession, Jim Carrey recently bought a digital artwork with ties to the Soviet Union.
Carrey, 60, spent 20.0 (equivalent to $39,535) for an NFT titled “Devotion,” which was the highest offer. This piece is part of Ryan Koopmans and Alice Wexell’s “The Wild Within” series, in which they photograph derelict Soviet structures.
Once a popular health resort in Georgia noted for its therapeutic waters, the once-famous Tskaltubo sanatorium is shown here in all its decaying Soviet-era glory.
This one has me stumped. That’s a good thing, according to James Joyce. We appreciate how delicately @ryankoopmans captured nature’s unrelenting beauty and inventiveness. Carrey wrote on Twitter, “BTW, you’re my first NFT.”
I’m thrilled to find out that Jim Carrey, a multi-talented artist whose work I admire tremendously, was the collector. …as Koopmans himself put it. “In his own right, Jim Carrey is an incredible painter, illustrator, and artist.
It warms my heart to know that someone who values innovation, optimism, and mindfulness has found meaning in the work that Alice and I have been developing for so long.
Thousands of people, including Stalin and his high-ranking officials from Moscow, visited the resort between the 1940s and the 1980s, as stated in the article’s description. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the once-occupied buildings gradually fell into ruin.
The buildings have been slowly destroyed and robbed of their valuable components since the early 1990s, leaving behind just the skeletons of once-grand, classical constructions.
Koopmans has spent a lot of time in the area over the past few years, documenting the remains with his photography. Together with Wexell, they took these pictures and digitally altered the lighting and composition, added sound design by Erik Thome, and animated the scenes in an effort to breathe new life into the abandoned locations.
