Our Fab Five did the do-si-do in good ol’ Texas and there were plenty of other heartwarming moments and valuable life lessons to be found in Queer Eye season 6, making it the ideal way to round out the year 2021.
Fans of a feel-good show like this one understandably want to see more episodes in the future, but what are the chances of that happening, and what can we expect from the upcoming season?
Our goal is to keep you up to date on the future of this Netflix original series, so we share all the information we have about Queer Eye season 7.
How Many Seasons Are There of Queer Eye?
Right now, you can watch all seven seasons of Queer Eye on Netflix.
In 2018, we fell in love with the original series, which has six seasons, and its spin-off, Queer Eye: We’re In Japan! has one season.
- Russian Doll Season 3 Release Date: Everything We Know So Far About the Netflix Show’s Return!
- Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date: Is Bridgerton Season 3 Out Yet on Netflix?
Eight episodes make up each of the first four seasons, while seasons five and six feature ten episodes apiece. Japan, here we come! It’s only four episodes, but each season’s worth of episodes clocks in at less than an hour.
When Will Queer Eye Return for a Seventh Season?
There has been no word from Netflix yet about a potential seventh season. Despite this, given the positive reception of Queer Eye’s sixth season, we expect there to be at least one more season in the near future.
Once we (hopefully) learn that season 7 has been renewed, we’ll let you know. Keep reading to learn when this season might premiere and what to expect from it in the meantime.
Queer Eye’s Cast
The Fab 5 will always be there, no matter what the launch schedule or season gap looks like.
Mainstays of the show include Karamo Brown(Instagram), Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Tan France(Instagram), and Bobby Berk. If the show is renewed for a second season, the current cast is likely to return.
There have always been the same five men participating in the show. There are various responsibilities for each man.
When it comes to pop culture, Brown is an expert, while Van Ness is a hair guru, Porowski is a chef, France is in charge of fashion, and Berk is in charge of interior design (via TV Guide). All five cast members contribute to creating a show that is well-rounded and balanced.
While the men are all busy with other things when they’re not filming, they make it a point to get together for the show. Every episode of the show has been filmed with the same five men in attendance, and Season 7 is expected to be no different.

Queer Eye Has Won Lots of Awards
If you aren’t already convinced of the show’s immense popularity, let us give you some context. After six seasons, “Queer Eye” has been honoured with nine Emmys (via People). In other words, the show has a ridiculously high rating not only from viewers but also from the academy. If that isn’t a sign that the show will be renewed for a second season, we don’t know what is.
There is a lot more going on at the show than just the awards. All the cast members’ lives are improving thanks to the five men. That justifies a third season, for sure.
In an interview with People, Bobby Berk said, “It’s been great to be on a show that can win awards like an Emmy and is also out there doing good.” It’s a dream come true for us to be working on a show that we love and that’s making a difference in the world.
Season 7 of Queer Eye Plot
Each season brings us not only new nominees but also new environments, some of which may become our favourites. This leads us to believe that during the seventh season, Porowski and company will visit a new state. It has not yet been decided on which state it will be in or who we will meet there.
When Will the Seventh Season of Queer Eye Premiere?
There has been no official word on when Season 7 will be released, and since previous seasons have been released at such wildly varying times of the year, it’s difficult to even make an educated guess.
Despite this, we believe the premiere of Queer Eye’s seventh season will be expected to occur in late 2022 or early 2023. Be on the lookout for it! (I’m crossing my fingers!)
