Scott Vincent James Baio ( born September 22, 1960) is an actor from the United States. He is best known for his roles as Chachi Arcola on Happy Days (1977–1984) and Joanie Loves Chachi (1982–1983), as well as the title character on Charles in Charge (1984–1990), Dr Jack Stewart in the medical-drama series Diagnosis: Murder (1993–1995), and the titular role in the musical film Bugsy Malone (1976), his onscreen debut.
Baio has performed in several independent films and guest-starred on several television shows, including the Nickelodeon series, See Dad Run (2012–2015).

Scott Baio was born on September 22, 1960, in New York City. Scott Vincent James Baio was born in the Bay Ridge section of the Brooklyn borough of New York City to Rose and Mario. Scott was the third child of immigrants from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy.
