Sarah Jane Hyland is an American actress and singer born November 24, 1990. She was born in Manhattan and attended the Professional Performing Arts School before appearing in the films Private Parts (1997), Annie (1999), and Blind Date (2001). (2007).

The Health of Sarah Hyland
Hyland was a young child when she was told she had kidney dysplasia. In April 2012, her father gave her one of his kidneys. After a few years, that kidney stopped working. So, in September 2017, her younger brother Ian gave her a second kidney.
Hyland takes anti-rejection medicines and steroids daily to ensure her body doesn’t reject the donated kidney. As a result, she has trouble keeping her weight and muscle mass up and has been put on bed rest more than once, though she has sometimes been able to keep filming Modern Family simultaneously.
In a Self magazine article from December 2018, Hyland said she had thought about killing herself because she thought she was a burden on her family and blamed herself for her body rejecting her father’s kidney.
Since birth, she has had 16 surgeries to improve her health. These have included many surgeries on her kidneys and laparoscopic surgery to treat her endometriosis.
