Hayden Lesley Panettiere is an actress, model, and singer from the United States. She is best known for her starring roles as Claire Bennet on the NBC superhero series Heroes (2006–2010) and Juliette Barnes in the ABC/CMT musical drama series Nashville (2012–2018), for which she received two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries, or Television Film.
In Wes Craven’s meta-slasher franchise Scream, she portrays Kirby Reed, a tomboy film nerd. She will reprise her role from Scream 4 (2011) in the sixth untitled film (2023). Born in Palisades, New York, she made her first on-screen appearance in a commercial at the age of 11 months in 1990.

Panettiere was born on August 21, 1989 is Palisades, New York to parents Lesley Vogel, a retired soap opera actress, and Alan Lee Panettiere, a fire commanding officer. She was raised alongside her younger brother, actor Jansen Panettiere. Panettiere initially attended South Orangetown Middle School in New York, but switched to homeschooling when her acting career began to flourish.
