Rumor has it that the Green Goblin appears in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and Willem Dafoe plays it. The star now commented on the speculation.
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” could probably become the most controversial Marvel film, as several characters are involved in the sequel. This also includes the green goblin from the “Spider-Man” films by Sam Raimi. Willem Dafoe then played the villain. According to current rumors, the actor will play a role in the crazy “Spider-Man: No Way Home” movie again.
Now Dafoe has finally commented on the speculation in an interview with The Wrap, but there was neither approval nor had the actor denied the rumor: “No comment. Unfortunately yes. A lot is happening to me now. And you know, I always have the feeling that when a film comes out, it’s time to talk about it.”
Dafoe is quite experienced and seems cautious when it comes to commenting on rumors. The actor has at least neither accepted nor canceled, which of course could mean anything, but at least the hope of some fans remains.
These Characters Appear In Spider-Man: No Way Home
While Dafoe’s participation remains uncertain, some characters have clarity. These include Doctor Strange ( Benedict Cumberbatch ), Electro ( Jamie Foxx ), and Doc Ock ( Alfred Molina ). The latter, like Dafoe, was part of the old “Spider-Man” trilogy, which is why it would not be entirely unlikely that the Green Goblin would return.
Furthermore, the green goblin is said to be one of six villains, and the title “No Way Home” is an allusion to the various arch-enemies who come from their universes but can no longer return to their dimensions. Nevertheless, this extremely interesting news should be enjoyed with caution, as nothing has yet been officially confirmed.
There is also a persistent rumor that even the old Spider-Man actors will appear in the sequel. Actor Tom Holland, of all people, has denied the rumor, which is known for some accidental spoilers, but the Marvel star may just be playing the wrong game so that there will be a big surprise in the end.
Not much is known about the plot of Spider-Man: No Way Home, but the Marvel movie could turn out to be pretty wacky fun. According to the current status, the third part should appear in cinemas on December 16, 2021, provided the coronavirus does not intervene again. It ensures a change of plan at short notice.
