Like “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels” is set in George Lucas’ legendary space universe. The series about Kanan Jarrus and his followers is the direct successor to “Clone Wars.” The events from the rebel series are set 14 years after “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” and five years before “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.” The fans received the animation series so well that the episodes were even set to music as a radio play. The series creator Dave Filoni clarifies the rumors about “Star Wars Rebels” season 5 and rejects a sequel. As ScreenRant reports, Filoni was asked about a new season in an interview with Deadline. The director and author stated, however, that he no longer wanted to publish the fifth season. He said that he had told his story in whole and no need to hang on for another year.

New Villain Thrawn Is Here
Out of context, but undoubtedly great news for Star Wars fans, rumors have been around for a long time that the popular villain Grand Admiral Thrawn will also get his series. It was last seen in the animation series “Star Wars: Rebels” and was already mentioned in “The Mandalorian.” It is now reported that Thrawn will be played by Lars Mikkelsen (“The Witcher”). This will undoubtedly please fans especially, as the actor has already lent his voice to the villain in “Rebels.”
