About Mr. Robot
Sam Esmail created the drama-thriller television series Mr. Robot for USA Network. Elliot Alderson, a cybersecurity engineer and hacker with social anxiety disorder, severe depression, and dissociative identity disorder, is portrayed by Rami Malek.
Elliot is recruited by Christian Slater’s “Mr. Robot,” an insurrectionary anarchist, to join a hacktivist group named “fsociety.” The gang intends to wipe all debt records by encrypting E Corp’s financial data, the world’s largest conglomerate.
On May 27, 2015, the pilot debuted via internet and video-on-demand services. Rami Malek, Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallstrom, Christian Slater, Michael Cristofer, Stephanie Corneliussen, Grace Gummer, BD Wong, Bobby Cannavale, Ashlie Atkinson, and Elliot Villar comprise the ensemble cast of the series.
The first season premiered on USA Network on June 24, 2015, while the second and third seasons began on July 13, 2016 and October 11, 2017, respectively. The premiere of the fourth and final season occurred on October 6, 2019, and the season concluded on December 22, 2019.
Mr. Robot’s Plot
The series follows Elliot Alderson, a young New York City resident who works as a cybersecurity engineer for the company Allsafe. Elliot’s cognitive process appears to be strongly influenced by paranoia and delusion due to his chronic social anxiety, dissociative identity disorder, clinical depression, and substance misuse.
He establishes relationships with others through hacking them, which frequently leads him to serve as a cyber-vigilante. He is recruited by Mr. Robot, a mysterious insurrectionary anarchist, and joins his squad of hacktivists, fsociety.
One of their aims is to eliminate all consumer debt by encrypting the data of one of the world’s largest firms, E Corp (which Elliot misinterprets as Evil Corp), which is also Allsafe’s largest client.
