Barbarians Season 2: Plot
Season 2 has a lot to cover. Arminius and Thusnelda were able to gather the Germanic tribes and take on the three Roman Legions. After the ambush, the Roman Empire was dealt a devastating blow.
Arminius and Thusnelda will most likely be crowned king and queen of the tribes following their triumph. However, the abyss is only a few hundred yards away from us. There are plans to assault Hadgan alongside Thusnelda’s father. The two plan to strike when Arminius is least expecting, so they may seize control of the organization.
Arminius and Thusnelda face a much more serious threat than the threat posed by their own families. Even if the two of them have won the battle, the conflict with Rome is far from ended.
Rome’s Emporer, Tiberius, plans an army to counter Arminius and the Germanic tribes, who are pushing the Romans east of the Rhine. With Germanicus leading the Roman army, Arminius would fight a growing number of Romans.
It is possible that a bitter betrayal by Folkwin Wolfspeer could result from his negative experiences. Thusnelda, who was almost sold into slavery by the Romans and whom Folkwin lost to Arminius, is no longer close to him.
They were successful in large part because of Folkwin’s influence. He was the one who spread the myth that Thusnelda was somehow connected to the gods, and he’s the reason Arminius is still alive.
After the engagement of his ex-lover and best friend, Folkwin finds himself in a precarious position as the Queen and King of the United Kingdom. Folkwin thinks Arminius’s offer to make him a prince if he becomes king is an insult, therefore he refuses to accept it. The Germanic King will be the target of his murderous vengeance.
