Is Leanne Leaving Corrie for Good? Who is the Spouse of Jane Danson?

In Monday night’s (April 12) double bill, Leanne Battersby, Simon Barlow, and Nick Tilsley all left Weatherfield, which was a surprising turn in the show’s long-running drug story. Harvey, the drug dealer, found out that Leanne and Simon had betrayed him by working with the police. This made Leanne and Simon afraid for their safety.

Nick now has a son named Sam, but he chose to run away with Leanne and Simon in the hopes that it would be safe for them to come back in the future. So, what does all of this mean for the story’s future? Here’s our quick guide.

Leanne, Simon, and Nick Are No Longer on the Show

We can confirm that Leanne, Simon, and Nick aren’t leaving our TV screens for good. This is probably not news to most viewers. Jane Danson, Alex Bain, and Ben Price are still on Corrie, and they will all be back as the story goes on.

We know that the three won’t be seen on TV again until the end of the month. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the next chapter of the story.

Is Harvey Still in the Show?

Harvey, who sells drugs, has also not left the cobbles for good. Leanne’s work with the police helped bring down the cruel bad guy, who was just arrested. Before Harvey was taken away to face the consequences, he vowed to get back at Leanne for telling on him.Is Leanne Leaving Corrie for Good

Later, Harvey’s actor, Will Mellor, confirmed on Twitter that his bad character would be back soon. When a fan asked Will what this meant for Harvey, he said, “You can’t get rid of me that easily!”

Will signed up for a four-month stint on Corrie, and since he just made his first appearance on March 12, that means there’s still a long way to go with this storyline.

Will Leanne Battersby Ever Return?

Some fans think that PC Craig Tinker is about to save Leanne Battersby and bring her back to Corrie, so they don’t think she will die. One fan wrote on Twitter, “I’m sure that PC Tinks will get Harvey locked up again in no time!”

Leanne got involved in Harvey’s world after her three-year-old son Oliver died and she found out that her adopted son Simon Barlow had been forced to sell drugs to make ends meet for them.

She agreed to go into witness protection to help the police catch him, and she went into hiding with Simon and her partner Nick Tilsley. Harvey got away from prison when the guard in his prison van pulled out a knife and caused the van to swerve into the Alahans’ parked car. Harvey got out of the van and into the pouring rain.

Who Plays the Role of Leanne Battersby?

The role of Leanne is portrayed by Jane Danson. She is married to actor Robert Beck, a former Hollyoaks and Brookside star, and they have two sons.

What did Leanne do while she was away? Les, Leanne’s father, eventually found her in a lap-dancing pub in 2004 and she returned to Weatherfield. Jane Danson was kept quite busy off-screen while Leanne was learning how to pole dance.

She was cast as nurse Samantha Docherty in the ITV hospital drama Always and Everyone, which was subsequently renamed A&E. Jane portrayed Gemma Osbourne, the first lesbian policewoman, in The Bill from 2002 to 2003.

Who is Jane Danson’s Spouse?

Robert Beck is married to Jane Danson. After meeting at the inaugural Soaps Awards in 1999, the couple married in 2005. Together, they have two children: Harry, 19, and Sam, 12. And in 2018, Jane disclosed to OK! that she had miscarried her third child, which Beck and she discovered during a three-month ultrasound.

Jane acknowledged Kym Marsh for assisting her through her miscarriage. Once, Jane stated, “Rob is without a doubt my closest buddy in the world. In the past twenty years, we’ve only had two rows.”

And if you think you recognize him, he’s been on screen before. He’s been in Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and Brookside. After debuting on Coronation Street from 2008 to 2009 as Jimmy Dockerson, a mechanic and Tony Gordon’s henchman who sabotaged Kevin Webster’s clientele, BirminghamLive reported.

In addition, he has played Bombardier Boyd Billington in the film Bombshell and Dan Thatcher in the film The Upper Hand.

What Will Happen Next in Leanne’s Drug Narrative on Coronation Street?

As Leanne, Simon, and Nick will remain off-screen for the foreseeable future, there are currently few story spoilers. Nick’s mother Gail will be upset when she discovers he left without saying goodbye. Is Leanne Leaving Corrie for Good

Gail’s disposition improves only after Nick’s ex-girlfriend Natasha assures her that she can remain active in Sam’s life regardless of what happens with Nick. In subsequent episodes, the recurring character Sharon Bentley is anticipated to play a mysterious part in the narcotics plot.

Iain MacLeod, the producer of Coronation Street, hinted at the beginning of the year that a character from Rita’s past would become embroiled in the Leanne narrative.

MacLeod stated to Digital Spy and other media in January “The thing that most intrigues me is the Leanne tale. I find it quite exciting. It will also attract Rita at some point, and Rita will experience a blast from the past as a result of the story.”

Later, Corrie executives explained that the aforementioned prior character is Rita’s former foster daughter, Sharon, with Tracie Bennett reprising her 22-year-old role. She could be a villain or a victim in the sinister plot.
