Virgin River is coming back for a second season on Netflix. The new season will come out on July 20, 2022. So far, the show has dealt with many heavy themes and ideas, which can only make people more curious about what will happen in the following seasons.
The Virgin River Series tells the story of Melinda Monroe, who leaves her painful past behind and moves to a small town in California. As a midwife and nurse practitioner, she quickly learns that self-healing is not easy. But she soon finds out that life in a small town isn’t as easy as she thought it would be.
Production on Season 5 of the TV show Virgin River has already begun. The movie will be shot from July 18 to November 10, 2022, for about 5 months. New episodes are being shown, and the show will soon be available to stream on Netflix. If you like the show, we made a list of things you should look forward to before the next season comes out.
When is Season 5 of Virgin River Likely to Come Out?
The show’s fifth season won’t be on Netflix any time soon. After the third season, Netflix said the show would return for the fourth and fifth seasons. Netflix has announced the release date, but if we had to guess, we wouldn’t expect to see Season 5 of Virgin River on Netflix until 2023, probably in July of that year.
Season 5 of Virgin River Brings More Diversity and Inclusion
Jinny Howe told to a source that the fifth season of Virgin River would focus on diversity and inclusion. Compared to other Netflix shows, Virgin River hasn’t done as well at ensuring people from all walks of life are shown. Viewers need to see themselves in the characters of their favorite shows, and season 5 will continue to do that.
“Without going into details, I’ll say this is still a focus. From the early conversations we had about casting for season 5, I think it’s safe to say that this will continue to be a focus and something viewers will get to see more of. It’s a top priority, and I think you’ll see more diversity and acceptance in the Virgin River community as we grow it.
Sue Tenney stepped down as showrunner after the fourth season, and Patrick Sean Smith, who has worked on Greek and Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings, will take her place. Smith will bring a new and vital point of view to Virgin River because he is an openly gay writer who is married to another TV writer, Carter Covington.
Howe also said that she thinks the series will have “longevity and growth” in the future. One thing is sure: the characters we know and love will be back for at least another 12 episodes, and maybe even more after the fifth season ends. It looks like Mel, Jack, and the rest of the gang will spend many more summers in Virgin River with us.

Melissa may harbor a grudge towards our favorite bartender, given that Nick’s wealth is derived from a family business. “Nick and Melissa’s involvement in this glamping business may or may not be troublesome for Jack,” said Alexandra Breckenridge to TVLine on Melissa’s future ties to Virgin River.
“I am unsure of her intentions at this time. It is not fully apparent whether Nick is unaware of Melissa’s actions or whether he is aware of them. He seemed to be such a nice person. I seriously doubt that his wife has a clue. She would likely have informed the entire community by now.”

So very much. Understandably, you require a review! Paige and Christopher return as Season 4 concludes, and Preacher must rescue Paige from Vince, who is keeping her at gunpoint. After new evidence reveals his innocence, the charges against Brady are dismissed.
