Story of Ocean’s 12 Explained

Ocean’s Twelve concludes with a chronological twist that explains the true motivations of the main characters and is now available on Netflix. Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) plots retribution against Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his band of thieves, who stole $160 million from the business mogul in Ocean’s Eleven, in Steven Soderbergh’s 2004 film.

The film franchise is based on the original 1960 spy film directed by Lewis Milestone and featuring “The Rat Pack.” In Ocean’s Twelve, Danny’s crew is pursued by Benedict and devises a method to repay their collective debts with interest. They agree on an Amsterdam-based heist, which ultimately fails owing to the clandestine manoeuvrings of a master thief known as the “Night Fox.”

Europol Detective Isabel Lahiri (Catherine Zeta-Jones) investigates the crimes and cautions Danny and his companions about the perils of angering the Night Fox, the protégé of the famed thief LeMarc.

In the beginning of the second act of Ocean’s Twelve, Danny’s team discovers that the Night Fox is actually a Frenchman named Baron Francois Toulour (Vincent Cassel) who is unhappy with his mentor for failing to recognise him as the world’s best thief.

So, a jealous Toulour wants to enhance his legacy by engaging Danny in a friendly competition. The objective is to steal the Imperial Coronation Egg from the fictitious Galleria D’Arte di Roma in Rome.

Starting the last act of Ocean’s Twelve, Julia Roberts’ Tess Ocean is lured to Rome to impersonate… Julia Roberts. Danny’s group seeks to create a diversion so that they can grab the physical egg and leave behind a digital copy.

It appears like Toulour has won the challenge after numerous team members are jailed, thus Danny and his team do not receive the funds necessary to repay Benedict. Tess and Danny disclose, in a final twist, that Toulour actually stole a replica and that Ocean’s crew won the tournament. Here is a detailed explanation of Ocean’s Twelve’s conclusion.
