As the winner of “The Apprentice,” Harpreet Kaur’s business will get a £250,000 investment and she will work with Lord Sugar. Lord Sugar finally chose his new business partner at the end of the 2022 season of The Apprentice.
This year, there were 16 candidates. As usual, the Amstrad magnate made a lot of mistakes and was constantly annoyed. On their way to the final, the two finalists did things like fishing in Cornwall, making video games, and trying to get the Welsh tourism industry going again. Here’s who won in the end.
Who Won the 2022 Edition of the Apprentice?
In the end, Harpreet Kaur beat Kathryn Burn in the final of The Apprentice 2022. As usual, all the candidates who had been fired earlier in the process came back for the final. As the winner, Kaur, who is 30 years old, will get a £250,000 investment in her business and work with Lord Sugar.
After two candidates were offered investment in series 14, Kaur becomes the 17th winner of the show. She follows in the footsteps of series 15 winner Carina Lepore, who also started a bakery chain in London called Dough Artisan Bakehouse to serve people with a sweet tooth. Lepore won The Apprentice in 2019, right before the Covid-19 pandemic forced the show to go on hiatus for two years.
So What Did Harpreet Kaur Say?
After finding out she would be Lord Sugar’s new business partner, Kaur said that she was happy to be a woman winner but that it was time to “delete these titles” and stop paying attention to whether a person in business is a man or a woman.
She told the PA news agency, “I loved that it was an all-female final because I love empowering women. I hope that I can show many women that they should follow their dreams, go after their goals, and get them.”
“But I also think we should get rid of these titles in business, and it doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman.” If you can set your sights on something and know you can achieve it, go for it. It doesn’t matter much what kind of person you are.
“Again, I think that’s what Lord Sugar is about through the process. I don’t think it matters if you’re a man or a woman; if he thinks someone is worth investing in, he will do that.”
The Winner of the Apprentice in 2022 Says She is Dating a Co-star
Harpreet Kaur, who won The Apprentice 2022, said she is dating her former co-star Akshay Thakrar because she “unexpectedly” fell in love with him. The two celebrities told the world about their relationship on Instagram by posting a bunch of photos of them together to mark their three-month anniversary.
She wrote in a caption that the best things in life happened to her “out of the blue” after her time on the show. This information was taken from Instagram. On their website, you might find the same information in a different format, or you might find more information.
“The best things in life are the ones that surprise you. “I love telling you all about how my Oh So Yum business is doing, but this time it’s a personal story,” she wrote.
“Since I left the house on The Apprentice, my life has been a complete whirlwind in many ways. Over the past three months, someone special has taken me by surprise and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.”
Thakrar wrote in the comments about how happy he was: “So glad you belong to me. Looking forward to what’s to come!” Fans and coworkers of both stars also left them well-wishes in their comments. Love Island star Demi Jones, for example, wrote, “This makes me so happy!”
On the other hand, Navid Sole said: “I always told Akshay that he and Harpz should be together, and it turned out to be true!!! So proud of you and what a great couple you make!” She then joked, “Don’t forget to include me in your wedding plans!”
Aaron Willis also gave them his best wishes, saying: “Yes, yes, yes [emoji of two hands clapping]. What a great blog post! “Congratulations, guys!” said Amy Anzel. “Oh, what wonderful news! Congrats guys.”
What Does Harpreet Kaur Do for a Living?
From West Yorkshire, Kaur and her older sister Gurvinder own Oh So Yum!, a dessert shop and delivery service. It has offices in both Leeds and Huddersfield. Kaur said that if she wins the show, she wants to “take over the dessert world” and help her sister grow the business.
During the intensive interview part of the show, Lord Sugar was worried that Kaur only owned 50% of the business because she didn’t say that her sister owned the other 50%.
Kaur said, “For me, you know, my sister and I have built this business to where it is now, and we both add value.” She was talking about how hard it would be to convince Lord Sugar that her sister’s involvement wouldn’t change the possible investment and partnership.
“But when I was doing The Apprentice, it was just me and no one else. So I thought I showed Lord Sugar that I have enough standing no matter what and that I can make anything work, even if I’m standing on my own.
