The anime adaptation of “Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro” (jap: “Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san”) has been renewed for a second season, according to the show’s official Twitter account. A first teaser image will be presented below.

The series was first published in “Magazine Pocket” in November 2017 by mangaka Nanashi (774). To date, seven volumes have been released by Japanese publisher Kodansha. Since last fall, Vertical Comics has been publishing an English translation of the series.

In Season 2 of Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro’s Plot

The season one finale finds Nagatoro and his friends helping Naoto draw a large crowd to see his paintings of Nagatoro’s daily life. He used his artistic credentials to defend the president’s painting and end up beating the president in a friendly competition. Nagatoro asks him to close his eyes and then gives him a kiss on the cheek after the credits roll.

There’s potential for further growth in Season 2’s character dynamics between the show’s two primary protagonists. Naoto is expected to become president of the art club when the current president graduates.

Mikako Komatsu made it through an audition for “Takashi Fujii’s All Night Nippon R” on NHK’s first corner. Formerly of the band “Younger Sister,” she quit in September of 2007. In her first leading role, she worked at Hirata Office in November 2009 for the anime series Heroman.
