Hunter x Hunter is one of the best anime of the new generation. Hunter x Hunter has everything you’ve ever wanted a great story, the right characters, their goals, complex villains, anime builds, and great arcs. However, Yoshihiro Togashi had health problems and couldn’t even write a manga chapter. No one knows if he will come back. In such a situation, fans are looking for alternative anime series like Hunter x Hunter.

So let us dive into series you can watch while waiting for Hunter x Hunter’s new Season.

  • Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins and Hunter x Hunter are both fantasy-themed action anime. They also have a plot that revolves around a powerful group of individuals known as the “Seven Deadly Sins” and “Hunters” trying to complete their mission. The protagonists of both stories go through a very similar personality-building cycle.

In both stories, a group of influential beings and their clans attempt to balance the world- the Phantom Troupe;  the Hunter Association; the Seven Deady Sins; the Holy Knights; the Zoldyck Family. In both series, the characters most often fight formidable opponents. It is not uncommon for characters to lose in these battle scenes.

  • Black Clover

Hunter x Hunter and Black Clover have similar plots. Both anime series are stories of a boy who unknowingly achieved remarkable results, determined to be the best. They want to be stronger against their parents, friends, or partners. Both anime have a strong friendship theme.

Hunter x Hunter and Black Clover also have great animations and battles.

Hunter x Hunter is a fun and entertaining anime at the beginning of the story, but like the Chimera Ant part, it’s really dark towards the end. At the same time, Black Clover is very light and Asta is the anime’s comedian that brings light relief.

  • Jujutsu Kaisen

There are many animes with similar stories. A good example is Hunter x Hunter and Jujutsu Kaisen. Both anime have their own power systems, like Hunter x Hunter user Nen and Jujutsu Kaisen users Jutsu.

Both animations contain clips of dark and gloomy scenes such as the Chimera arc and Machito turning everyone into cursers that keep you wanting more.

  • Demon Slayer

The two series are similar in that they both have a revenge theme. Both have protagonists who have lost family and friends and vow to take revenge on them. Both series feature villains similar to Muzan and Melem. Both villains are very powerful and have subordinates who worship them as God.

Melem’s Kingsguard and Muzan’s 12 Kizuki can kill whoever the Master wants.

  • Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball is an anime that aired in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and Hunter X Hunter debuted about a decade ago. The similarities between these two series are obvious. Both feature a young protagonist with a long list of enemies and allies, each with unique abilities.

The most striking similarity is that both series have a tournament-style battle mode. The main character and the opponent fight to get what they want.

Looking at the main characters of both series, we can see that the two characters have similar personalities. Goku is a cheerful young fighter who likes to fight for fun, but Gon Freecss is also a cheerful boy who loves fun but is very serious about fighting. When it comes to fighting skills, both Goku and Gon have improved significantly over the years and their skills can be easily controlled.

And this time, we can swear that Gon, who lost control of the Superpower in the battle scene with Neferpitou, will turn into a Super Saiyan!

  • Naruto: Shippuden

In both of these animated series, there are many types of skills or fighting abilities that Gon and Naruto haven’t mastered yet. One type is that they have known signing abilities (Kagebunjin techniques and Pon Rock-paper-scissors) or superiority. And both of the anime’s protagonists have older friends they trust to help them out in times of need and trouble.

They too must face the harsh realities of their world and learn to overcome this obstacle in the process. In Hunter x Hunter, Gon wants his father’s approval and Naruto wants Sasuke to accept it. And it is suggested that others will be heroes to find love and happiness within themselves.

  • Magi: The Labyrinth Of Magic

Both series initially looked like a light comedy/action series but ended up with a much deeper and darker plot. Despite the bright colors, some dark themes were explored, none of which fear murder here and there. All with a young protagonist on an adventure to meet new people and friends. The concept of superpowers is a similar theme used in both animes.

Other important focal points such as friendship, companionship, and evil versus good make the two animes distinctly similar.

  • My Hero Academia

Hunter x Hunter and My Hero Academia have a number of similarities, including unique art styles, striking textures, and great animations.

The character design is so well done it really brings out the character. For example, if you look at Gon Freecss and Izuku Midoriya, you can see how much effort they put into the design.

The patterns of the two series are very similar. Hunter x Hunter has a hero who aims to be the strongest hunter. My Hero Academia features a hero whose goal is to be hero number one. These goals are very similar and the characters go through difficult times to achieve them.

Another thing that makes great animes is how you can watch the fight scenes while still keeping them interesting, especially when the color of the blood and the action scenes are different. Another similarity these two souls share is how wonderful their stories are. These two anime stories are so good and so entertaining that you really want to keep watching.

  • Yu Yu Hakusho

Hunter x Hunter and YuYu Hakusho have similarities between the story and the plot. Both are action sequences, but one is more dramatic than the other. The protagonists of both series share some of the same personality traits, such as being a little naive or stubborn. The two protagonists face rivals and teammates for various reasons.

It is said that the two protagonists are “good” and kindhearted. Both are appreciated by friends. Both love to fight, but they avoid killing. They also have teachers who are mentoring them. The main characters are very similar, but they are different in many ways.

Both of these series are action shows, but the drama about the characters and their relationship is also remarkable.

  • Full Metal Alchemist

There are many similarities between the two animes that date back to the best-selling original manga. The most important thing is this: The similar tones of death and magic serve as plot devices for both series.
