Hanna is the name of the new action-drama series on Amazon Prime Video. It was based on the same-named 2011 movie, in which Saoirse Ronan played the main character. It’s the story of a girl whose father, a former CIA agent, raised her in the wilds of northern Finland and trained her to be a killer.
Hanna is played by Esme Creed-Miles in the show. The show’s first season came out in 2019. The first episode came out on February 3, but it was only available for a short time.
On March 29, the whole first season was put up on Amazon Prime. The second season started on July 3, 2020, and at the same time, it was renewed for a third season. The start of the third season was on November 24, 2021. Here’s what you can expect from the show in the future:
Will Hanna Have the Fourth Season?
David Farr, who wrote the screenplay for the movie Hanna, also made the TV show. When the show was renewed for a third season, he said, “I’m so happy to be able to do this.
“When we started this journey, I had in mind a drama that would dig into Hanna’s past, challenge her in entirely new ways, and answer the question: Can she ever belong? I’m very thankful to Amazon and NBCU for making it possible for us to keep going with that vision.
I also owe a lot to Esmé Creed-Miles and Mireille Enos for their dedication and huge talent as we take Hanna and Marissa into new and uncharted territory. It will be a very interesting third act.” There were six episodes in the third season, and it ends on a very exciting note.
Fans of the show hoped that there would be another season. But when the third season started, Farr tweeted, “Everyone, enjoy the final act.” Also, it was made clear that the third season would be the last.

Why Won’t This Show Have Another Season?
There is a perfect ending to the show that will make viewers happy. It also leaves the door open for Hanna’s life to start a new chapter. Farr, on the other hand, said that season 3 is the end because “there is no more story.
“He told Screen Rant that the characters could go on, but the main story he wanted to tell was about Hanna growing up and becoming a kind of adult. In the third season, when she faces her past and is able to break free of it, she is able to do this.
At the end of the show, she gives herself the chance to live her life however she wants. Farr had always planned for Hanna’s story to have three parts. He always planned for the third season to be the last one.
He did say that Hanna could have another season if he thought there was a new story to tell. But the story of the child killer ended in a way that was as good as it could be.
Will There Be a Season 4 of Hanna on Amazon Prime?
Hanna will not be back on Amazon Prime Video for the fourth season. In a recent interview, the show’s creator, David Farr, said that the upcoming third season will be the last. Farr told Entertainment Weekly that Hanna would end after its third season because that was always the plan.
“If you remember when I talked about the second season, I said it needed “the third act.“I used to work in the theatre, so I always have a full picture of how a drama will play out in my head. And I thought there was a very clear arc in this case.” Hanna season 3 starts almost right after the end of season 2.
The main character, played by Esmé Creed-Miles, is on a new secret mission to bring down Utrax, the evil government organisation that made her and trained her to be a killer. Hanna teams up with her old enemy, former CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos), in order to destroy Utrax from the inside and get out of its grip.
She also gets high-ranking Utrax agent John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney) to help them with their mission. But as Hanna gets closer to her goal, her fellow young assassins Sandy (Aine Rose Daly) and Jules (Gianna Kiehl) and a terrifying new enemy named Gordon Evans (Ray Liotta) start to figure out what she’s up to and stop her.
Farr said that the show’s three-season run made sense because each season focused on a different part of Hanna’s life. Season 3 was the last part of her journey into adulthood. Farr told Entertainment Weekly, “You have the child Hanna’s upbringing, then you have the teen, Hanna.
And then act 3 is the end of her journey.” “And during each of these parts of her trip, she finds out about different emotional parts of herself. It also involves making big discoveries about things she didn’t know and that we didn’t know. This season, this is especially true.
So that’s how I’ve always planned for it to go.”Some fans may be sad to hear that Hanna will end after season 3, but Farr says that being able to end the show on his own terms is a blessing because not all showrunners get to do that.
“I think TV should be brave enough to show dramas that are fully formed,” he said. “Of course, some shows are made to go on forever on purpose, and that’s fine. But I think it’s nice to have a story arc that you have to follow.”
Farr isn’t saying much about whether Hanna will have a happy ending or not, but he did say that the last season is “the most operatic” of all the seasons and that it “operates on a very extreme family tragedy level.”
“That central big arc of her finally coming to terms with the nemesis of what this project was, what is Utrax, what was it meant to do, who was behind it, what was it all about, and can she actually escape the fate that is planned for her? “That’s what this season is all about,” said Farr.
